Noun + ly = adjective

Friend   =             friendly
Love      =             lovely
He gave me a friendly smile.
Her singing was lovely.

Adjective + ly = adverb

Dangerous          =             dangerously
Happy                 =             happily
Nice                    =             nicely
Horrible              =             horribly
Safe                    =             safely
Note: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, early and leisurely are both adjectives and adverbs.
What is your daily routine?
He comes to me daily.
I went to Delhi by an early train.
I get up early.
